Elizabeth Ashley Hydrangea is a compact deciduous shrub with glossy serrated deep green leaves and large mophead clusters that blooms on both new and old wood, extending the bloom from late spring through summer. The flowers color depend on the PH of the soil - acidic soils make soft blue flowers, while neutral or alkaline soils make taffy pink flowers- which then deepen with age. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
