Hemerocallis 'Desert Flame' - Desert Flame Daylily

Desert Flame Daylily is a compact herbaceous perennial with arching grass-like deep green foliage.  The lightly ruffled red-orange flowers with a lime green throat bloom in mid summer and again in late summer.  Best bloom in deep rich well-drained soils.  Drought and salt tolerant once established. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:   Low maintenance.  Relatively pest free, but watch for mites, aphids, and thrips.  Daylily Rust can be problematic in some areas.  Divide every 3-4 years in fall or spring.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Gardens, Coastal Gardens, and Containers.
