Thymus vulgaris 'Caborn Wine & Roses' - Caborn Wine & Roses Thyme

Caborn Wine & Roses Thyme is a culinary evergreen shrub that is primarily grown for its foliage used for seasoning.  The thin woody stems sport the whorls of dark green aromatic leaves and tiny pink-purple flowers with wine red calyax bloom in late spring into summer.  Grows best in full sun and loose soils with good drainage.  Drought tolerant.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant.  Cannot tolerate wet soils.  Susceptible to rot, especially if soil is too moist.  Cut back stems in early spring to promote new growth and control size.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Mass Plantings, Medicine Garden, Kitchen, Cottage Gardens, Containers, Pollinator Garden, Ground Cover, and Containers.
