White Rugosa Rose is a thorny deciduous shrub with an upright mounded habit and serrated dark green foliage that turns attractive yellow, orange, and reds in fall.  The white flowers blooms from late spring through summer, which are followed by orange rosehips.  Best grown in full sun and rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Alba tolerates clay soil, urban conditions, and drought, and salt.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Medium Maintenance. Roses are susceptible to powdery mildew, black spot, rust, and rose rosette and require regular fungicide in humid areas that experience a lot of rainfall.  Pest issues include aphids, borers, scale, mites thrips, midges, and leafhoppers.  Rugosa is suckering and will form dense colonies unless restrained.
